Quake 3 Arena problems

A week ago I changed my vid card from RAGE 128 to Fury MAXX, b4 Q3A worked fine, now the fps in the game are fine but I don't move fluently... I don't know what could be the problem...
My AGP is set 1X maybe that's the problem, but could it be anything else?

try this..try a higher AGP speed. then try this.. go into your Q3A folder and look for a file called q3config.cfg...open it with notepad and do a search for FPS..you only have to click it once because it will take you to where you need to go..where it says Max FPS 90..change it to 200 or something higher..that will allow for more framerate and smoothness. for the longest time i was getting mad because 90 was the highest i could get with my Gf2 GTs 32mb DDR at 240/400..well when i changed the max FPS for the game im getting about 130 now..so try that and see if it helps

I think I got it, I set the AGP to 4X and it didn't help, then I disabled the dual chip mode and it works pretty smoothly on the all graphic settings to the highest!
But the thing that I can't use the other GPU and 32MBs sux!:mad:
