Are temps reported wrong?!

I changed to a Green Cooler today, from noisy Super Orb
And I get same temps, though the HS is as hot to the touch as the HS of my friend wich has temps around the mid 40s, could my A7V report higher temps than they acctually are?

Never removed CPU so I dunno how that temp probe positioned...

Asus temperature probes are notorious for giving false readings. They sometimes read 8-10c higher than actual.

I have the dreaded Asus probe as well. I know mine is way off. It reads about 10 degrees F over actual temp.
