I put it on my secondary system and after installing the included drivers etc I used 3dmark2k to see how it did. Now other than the card the system is nearly exactly identical to my previous system which I got a 3dmark of 1375 using a k6-2 500mhz with a voodoo3 3000 and 128mb pc100 sdram. Well to my surprise the much newer/advanced card actually did WORSE. It got 1207 3dmarks, with the only differences in configuration was a older isa sound card(yamaha chip) and an NIC card(realtek;heard they are clock hogs to an extent).

I was really expecting much better scores out of the card out of the box. I was really expecting at least close to 2000 3dmarks.

The abit site has some(i assume) newer drivers and such, but are they any good or should I get some of the other drivers out there from nvidia?

Btw what is the detenator drivers I've seen mentioned?

Anyone know what the best drivers might be?

the detonator drivers are drivers for the nvidia cards
the best det drivers are the newest ones(21.xx)

anyways....the reason u are getting low marks is because you got a geforce2 mx200 version......they are horrible as limited by memory bandwidth

understand that, but thought it should still beat my old voodoo3 3000 with its 16mb

GeForce 2 MX200 is not a very good card. It is bare minimum for any kind of gaming.

oh well it is still a h*ll of alot better than the old card..4mb cirruslogic :D

Find it strange though that my voodoo3 3000 basically kicks it's @rse...you'd think a NEW card would be better than something over 2 years older.
