Networking Questinons

I have a couple of networking questions for you guys.

1. What is the best way to share a printer between two computers. I dont really want to have a dedicated print server running all the time.

2. Same as above only with a dialup connection.

For both questions i want something cheap. Hope you can help me.

if i remember correctly there is this hub thingy that allows you to share a printer between two comps

and........some printers have this feature built in(probably coporate printers) so u can just use a regular hub and that will do the job

Yah, i have looked into the Jetdirect boxes by HP, but there kinda expensive. May be the only way to go though.

Once you decide to make a printer shared, your cost goes up. Print servers of any kind are expensive. What kind of printer is it? If it's an Epson 800 I have an ethernet print server if you're interested.

HP Deskjet. I may just set it up so if you want to print you have to go turn on the comp the printer is hooked to. I dont print that much stuff.
