View Full Version : Is it possible to install Win2k without...
access to a floppy drive and a cdrom drive that will not autorun the cd..
No, unless you have a RIS Server...and are really familiar with how to script for a remote install to a client..
thats what i thought.. dammit.. i am setting up my new computer with all this awesome new hardware.. and my floppy drive is like screwed up =( was working in the other machine (abit bp6) but it's getting a constant yellow light on the 8k7a+ i just hooked up..
Sounds like you have the cable backwards on the drive or not centered over all of the pins. The red cable on the end should be on pin 1 of the floppy.
Unfortunately I can't take into account a backwards cable.. since there are the raised notches on both ends which won't allow me to stick it on incorrectly =/
I've also tried multiple cables as well with the same luck.. hope it's screwed up floppy drive and not a bad controller =(
