In what scenarios will the single channel 1Gb benefit and out run a Dual Channel 512Mb? Any expert memory guys care to shed some light?

mmm, take the SC gig for running heavy-use apps like photoshop, take the DC 512 for gaming.

What games you gonna be playing? Some are really RAM intensive...

I'm just wondering, because currently I have no such problem, i can run 1G on Dual Channel of needed. I'm just wondering what the benefits of each would be.
