According to your link it comes with a sound card. So it's not working? Maybe the drivers aren't installed. You can probably get this (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=29-102-183&depa=0) pcmcia sound card for your laptop, but it's kinda pricey.

thats wierd ... i looked under deivce manager and has nothing as far as a card listed .. but it does have codecs and legacy drivers installed ( ithink that is normal cause i pule dout my sound card on my pc and it too had the same things minus the card listed) ...

isnt the sound hardware onboard on laptops? or is it physically missing speakers and stuff ?
and it could be that sound is turned off in bios makin windows and the device manager not see it

ok heres what im going by...
ive had a few different laptops before and all of them had this tiny little sound card that plugged into the board .. i looked in side and see what appears to be a plugin and the spot where the saound card goes is empty..
so i guess the real question is ...
where would i get one of those intenal ones at ?? is that a direct from company deal ??
I'd check with who ever you bought it from, if someone just screwed up and forgot to put the card in they should just mail you a card.

well it turns out i was completely wrong !! the space i thought was for a sudio card is not for that ..
the sound is indeed intergrated into the motherboard. so i must have missed something.. im gonna unistall everything under sound and then install all drivers from my cd .. i will also double check the bios for any options..

I had the same problem and it turned out that the Windows Audio Service (I think that is what it was called) was turned off. You may want to check that before you go reinstalling the drivers. Just go to Start - Run - services.msc and check for that service to see if it is on. Mine somehow turned itself off.
try uninstalling drives and installing them back, also check if sound isn't mute and volume and wave aren't at low setting
