just found a 24V DC, 12A Power Supply selling cheap and was wondering if I can hook it up to a 172 watt pelt?
I know its a little too much juice and it doesnt look like it a variable speed...
what could I use to power it down if I buy it?
just found a nother one that puts out 0-36VDC, 0-5A
would this be a better deal? its going for the same price

bump
anyone?
The first PSU you mentioned will work. The pelt needs 11.3 amps at 24.6 volts so the PSU that puts out only 5 amps won't work.
say warlord2 i think the 1st one you mentioned will work as well and i am wondering where you found a deal on this? i am looking for the exact same setup you are right now.. :)

sweetness
thanks Colin
My guess is there will be a trimmer inside the PSU to adjust voltage. I suspect you will be able to dial it down to 22 volts.
