I haven't seen one with that high an aspect ratio (length/width).
I would be interested in seeing that one too.
Does anyone have the picture of it? I want to see one too.
It would be very interesting.

the square cores are supposed to be Morgan and Pal cores if you got a MP chip itll be square as those are Palamino's the 1.2MP and the 1,4MP

I got my Orb replaced today (FINALLY!!!) and when I took off the HS I borowed I cleaned the core very very well and discovered the steppings!!!
Its AXIA 9, how good is it for overclocking? I know numbers aren't that good...
The size of the core is 15x10mm, is it the standart?
I'm not trying to be negitive, (lord knows 1.2 is fast) but I had a "9" and it absolutely sucked! I couldn't even get it stable above 1.4. I took it back and said there is something wrong with this chip, and I just wanted a even exchange. Before I called, I made sure they had the AXIA "Y" in stock. The "Y" is SOOOOO much better. I had it stable at 1.533, but it would post over 1.650. If you can, try to exchange it.

Honestly I haven't measured my cores dimensions but I'll bet you T-Bird is just like all the rest.

Could any one measure his just out of interest?
It sounds as if you have a standard T-BIRD AXIA, allthough I haven't measured any of my cores, those measurements sound about right. What week is yours?
I have a 1G AXIA-9 that does 1.47 on air.

my duron is 10x10mm. dunno if that helps.

The DURON cores are about one third smaller than the T-BIRDS cores due to the lesser amount of cache.
I just came across this photo. Although it shows the T-BIRD and the PALIMINO, keep in mind that the DURON core is about one third smaller than the T-BIRD.
This should help;

I forgot to check the week when I was changing HS, when I'll remove the heatsink I'll check and add it the my sig...
My temps are too high for me to overclock :(
I'm waiting for winter to come when temps, hopefully, will drop dramaticly.

Any one else with AXIA "9" and got any resaults at all? I'm interested in both good and bad resaults.
