what is the auxiliary power connector from my psu for? where do i hook it up?? also, i have a power connector which is black and slender. sorry i cant provide a visual, but i was wondering if anyone knew

edit: since i created a thread in the case/psu section, i might as well post this. i dont have to connect all the wires coming from the front of my case to my mobo, do i?

sorry about the newbish questions. im a bit new at this stuff

the black slender one is probably ur sata supply. yep yea it is just noticed u have a fortron like me.

where does the white one go? i think its the auxiliary

The AUX connector is rarely used - it was meant to supply additional 5v and 3.3v power to older motherboards that need it for a second CPU. On most systems it'll have no use whatsoever beyond a convenient multimeter testing point for the 3.3v line.

Mine's just coiled up in the case doing nothing at all. Had a few thoughts of doing a volt mod to my board that would make use of it (mine needs 5v for CPU power), but I've been too lazy thus far.

The other connector is the SATA connector.
