Hello,
I just bought an AX34 Pro II mobo and a Celeron 2 850.
I have managed to O'clock it to 1020, (120x8.5), but thats as fast as i can get it to go.
I have tried the next step of 124x8.5 but it wont even post.
I'm still running the standard HS/Fan but i cant see it being that as it won't post and therefore hasn't got time to get too hot.
its running fine at 27c at the moment and gets to about 34 after running a few Q2 timedemo's.
I have tried upping the voltage to 1.85 but it doesn't make any diference..

Any suggestions?

Maybe more voltage? But for that you should upgrade your cooling. Nothing special really needed just a good fan and some lapping.

Could be a bunch of things, from memory to your AGP, and PCI cards. Might be the onboard sound that's keeping it from going any futher. Try running the system with just the video card in it. Disable the onboard sound, there should be a jumper for it (I think it's JP#14). Go from there, and see if it goes past 1020.

Try the jump to 133, it'll put everything back in spec.

Try to upgarde your cooling so you can put some extra volts, update your ram, with crucial ram you can get +/-157Mhz ram, take a look at you ram cas timings and your pci/agp bus...
Did you run a good burn-in??? try runing some more days rhe burn-in progress this will help you testing the stability of your system and will help you getting some extra Mhz!!!!
Find out if you have any IRQ error if you have it change the place of your boards (ex: SBlaster from 1st pci slot to the last)
Good luck hope it helps

I had the same prob with my boards. I have the AX34 II and I yesterday I broke the AX34 PRO II board. Maybe Aopen are just bad board to O.C. But I'm going to try again with the AX37 Plus board and see how that does.

Actually from what I've seen, the AX34 PRO II's are the best OC'ing boards for the Intel CPU's, from Aopen. You'd be better off with an board from a different manufacturer, but if it's what you have, that's what you'll have to work with. Unless you feel like shelling out some cash for a new board. In general, Aopen boards aren't really suited to OC'ing.

Also you could give it some burnin time. Sometimes if you let them run on the top end awhile they will clock higher. Got 50mhz more out of my 300A that way.

OK, I manged to get it to boot at 1147 (135x8.5), It made it all the way to Windows , but then I started getting explorer errors that wouldn't go away.
Can someone Shed some light on what the most likely cause of the explorer errors are?
