I have bought a Radeon 32 DDR card (no TV out or video in). I was told it is not the ve or le but 32 DDR radeon one step below the 64ddr , would this be correct. No disc , box or drivers, will get this Monday eve. Paying about $65 US or $105 canadian

What are the best drivers to run using Win98SE with all its updates, but I also plan to upgrade to XP so need to know which drivers work with it.

Is this gonna give me more performance than my Asus Geforce 256 32 ddr card.

What would be best overclock setting for this card?? Pinky plz give me feedback.

I haven't used my Radeon on anything other than XP, since this is my first Radeon card and don't have dual boot on this machine anymore.

If you need those drivers, try these (http://speshalk.dyndns.org:18012/programs/RADEON%20drivers/98me-753-010409x.exe).

Unfortunately you'll have to play a bit, as the beta drivers may prove to be better but can also turn out to be problematic.

I've been using the 7153's for sometime now. They seem to be working very well for me.

What would be a safe overclock setting on this card?

Dunno, gonna have to climb it up 3-5mhz at a time until you get artifacting/distortions. That's all I did, and it goes high. Be sure to synchronize/keep the the core and memory values the same with Radeon cards.

Should I notice a performance increase over my Asus Geforce 256 DDR Deluxe 32 card? I know I will have better 2d video, but I question whether I will see a noticeable performance increase in 3d video, but I guess 3dmark2001 will tell.

Looking forward to it!!

should, yes. Will you, I can't gurantee nothing. It being an almost 2 years newer card will help matters, but I haven't seen the benchmark's for you card (or for the Geforce DDR) in 3dMark 2001.

I went to madonion and found this comparison based on my card at default settings:

3DMark Score Chipset

4911 159%
NVIDIA GeForce3

3325 107%
NVIDIA GeForce2 Ultra

3087 100%
ATI RADEON DDR

3078 99%
NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/Pro

2854 92%
ATI RADEON DDR

2572 83%
NVIDIA GeForce DDR

2245 72%
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

2048 66%
NVIDIA GeForce SDR

734 23%
ATI RAGE MOBILITY 128

Once I get zee cash 64 ddr vivo for me, this is just a cheap upgrade from what I have to get better 2d video and faster performance.

and where does 64 ddr ram caome into play over 32 ddr cards, is it really utilized, and anything good about the rage fury maxx 64?

For larger graphics and higher resolutions you need more memory (since larger resolutions require more bandwidth-- ie -- larger pipeline to move more data).
I'd say you'd notice an improvement over 32 MB cards at 1024x768 and higher resolutions.

I heward the same about the Maxx although 2 friends have it,one on an AMD board and another on Intel BX . Seem to work well but it needs fast cpu from what I have read, I can get one of thoise cheap for a second system so was giving thought cause 64 mb would be nice for 2d video editing and photoshop work....
