I have the following settings in my bios for memory setting:
1. SDRAM cycle timing (choices 5t,7t and 7t,9t)
2. Memory driving (normal or strong)

I have a PIII 700 on an asus cusl2-c mobo. how would these 2 setting effect my o/c stability?

if you want a bios tweaked for gamers change SDRAM cycle timing
to 5t,7t and memory driving strong if you want to overclock 1st do the overclock with default settings then if it satble try to get somemore FPS by doing the tweaking has i alredy said to help you overclocking and tweaking go get the tweaked bios for asus cusl2-c at www.x86-secret.com i have one of these board and these twaked bios really helps your pc performance and for gaming and bench/benchmarks get the the 1009 final tweaked bios version it's the best...also download the AsusUpdate V3.28.03 really easy and secure way to flash your bios!!!

Good luck

The 5,7 cycle timing is a tiny bit faster, but 7,9 is usually more stable. If your RAM will run at CAS 2, then try 5,7 however, if you have to use CAS 3 setting in the BIOS for RAM, then you probably should use the 7,9 setting.
