this cruncher is moving fast, according to my records he did 185 WU's in the last 24 hours. But over the last week and a half he is neck and neck with chawken in production.
Well his average WU time is holding steady at a little less than 5 hours so if it is a hack it is returning times around that.
Hmm, well 5 hours is certainly very possible. Maybe he's using a lot of computers at work - although most companies don't have that many new computers that will run Seti that fast. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well I know where I use to work we had 14 PIII 750Mhz computers and two Athlon 850's. They could reach those times and it was just a little Medical Billing firm. So companies can have a lot...it just depends on what they do. Just my two cents...oh btw...could some tell me the Ice Tea story...I always wanted to know about that guy.

I guess you're right. Ice Tea was a little different. His work unit times were something like 5 minutes. He completed thousands of units in a week's time. When confronted he claimed his computer was doing this on its own and he didn't know why. He was asked to figure out why and stop turning in corrupt results. He didn't and after contacting the Berkley folks his account was terminated.

According to Bashers stats - Benz4140 was averaging 60 WU's per day. I recorded Monday mornings team update - which happened sometime around 2am and the site was updated again shortly afternoon again - in a period of less than 12 hrs, Benz produced 159 WU's. Does anyone else see something wrong with this number?

Not at all. I think I have this guy pegged. First do your research by looking at his picture. First thing you should notice is the really big chair. This is not his home, it is his office I believe. Next look at his seti name... Benz...as in Mercedes-Benz? I believe this guy owns a small or medium sized company...as for what they do I don't know. Just my 2 cents worth again...I look at the whole picture.

I agree. The Monday jump may have been the weekend update or something.
If he is using a hack then seti will get him, morph said that they already knew about icedtea before he reported him. I have a feeling that he is not using a hack but who knows :D If he is not he is a very valuable addition to the team.
