Hello all

I have came across a problem in the last week.
I am using w2k and everyonce in awhile i get a blue screen
and it reads

STOP: 0x000000D1
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Beginning dump of physical memory

does any one know what this means or how to do to stop it.

It's being caused by a driver. Have you installed a new one in the last week or so? Or, installed some app, like a network monitor of some kind, that has a filter driver to get info from some source that utilizes hardware?

As the earlier post said it probably is a driver problem if you do a search on earlier posts several people have had this problem that might have a clue to the cause.

Read the memory dump. The info you need, ie, the reason Windows2000 crashed *should* be in there. I believe it keeps it in %SystemRoot%\WINNT but if its not there. do a search for anything w/ the extention .dmp (I think). That'll probably help you solve your problem

Well guys

I have reformated and it did it again so i bought some new mem
and it did it again grrr could over clocking, cause a driver to become corrupted? i did change the Matrox to the beta witch is the same for the G450 and on the G450 that driver is not a beta

I have two systems on a router with cable mine is listed in the sig.
the other is

Aopen AX64 PIII-550@616,112 fbs default v
gin. PC100 128k
Matrox Mill. G450
SB Live val.
Linksys 10/100

both systems run on w2k and both system have the same drivers
for all cards and her comp does not do this EVER not one time

ok now i am stumped :( im going to lower my fbs back to 100
and try it out

Thanks for the replies

I would try setting your fsb multipliers ect. back to defaults and see if this fixes it. I dont know if you just installed win 2000 or what but i do know that win2000 doesnt like to be oc'ed and if your memory is clocked to high it will cause a error like this one.
