I bought a D-Link DWL-G510 802.11g wireless card. The router is a combo ADSL modem, router, firewall, and 802.11b access point. I got my card installed just fine using the instructions it came with. I have full net access with it, but I have a question. It came with something called the D-Link Airplus Utility. It says to disable Let Windows configure my wireless settings if you want to use it on XP; I have Server 03 EE. I cleared the checkbox and it configures okay, and I am no longer being disconnected everytime Windows detects a new network. I still cannot use the utility though. Whenever I click on it, the cursor changes to an hourglass, then back to the normal arrow, without starting the program. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still didn't work.
Why is this not working? Also, has anybody been able to get this card to work in Linux? I think you have to use the ndiswrapper.

I guess this is something weird with the program. Whenever I start it, a new process is created, then goes away. In task manager, it shows it is running; it just doesn't show up anywhere that I can use it. I will be reinstalling Windows in a few days, maybe that will fix it.

It seems like 03 Server EE just didn't like the program or something. I tried running it in compatability mode, but that didn't work. It said the evaluation was going to expire in a week (I don't know why, I just reformatted at the end of December, and before that it was going to expire in May). I am now using 98SE and it works fine.
