Here's my comp

250w psu
duron600
8k7a+
256mb crucial ram

well my ram could only do 150fsb and that was w/ the slowest latency's. and i can only do 866 stable. right now i'm at 800 1.7v. to hit 866mhz i have to bump the vcore to 1.9v. even at 2.0 it freeses at 900. Do you think its my psu? my 5v line is at 4.91 (load) although its not on amd reccomened list for any cpu's. my 12v is 13.5!!!. I guess i got crappy ram cuz 150 is pretty pathetic for crucial ram. temps ain't a problem. So am I just out of luck, or what do you think's the problem?

I think its you'r psu and or you'r ram. I know for a fact trying to hit from 600 to 900 on a 250watt psu is pretty hard I would get 350watts + psu. I recommend Powmax cause u can mess with the +5 and 12v on it , or an Antec.

Yeah, the PSU is probably holding you back. I haven't had much luck pushing Crucial RAM out of spec either. With my KT7A and 256mb PC133 cas2 RAM I was only able to get to about 145mhz before the system became unstable (and this was at cas3 and conservative memory settings in the BIOS). But, perhaps both of us were just unlucky (with the RAM).

update: got a new antec 300w power supply at frys. its a nice ps and cost me 45$ (could of got it for less but i'm impationt) anyway it didn't help me oc one more mhz :( i guess i got a crappy chip.

i agree with the problem of ur psu

as a personal opinion i find ENERMAX quite reliable...

i am using enermax 465w now

You may get some better results with that Crucial if you stick some Ram sinks on there. That may allow you to push it a bit further.

btw my cpu code is

akca
k 0046

i had a duron700 akca z, that would hit 1050 w/ a chip side so i dunno if the 'k" arn't that good, anyone have any experiance with the akca 'k'.

My Crucial RAm will run flawless at 145mhz FSB at 2-2-2. It would go higher if it weren't for the M/B.
