memory problems?

hello , recenlty my windows xp has been locking up and freezing while im using it. no component is overclocked. it also locks up when it goes to the WELCOME screen when it boots up. this has happend eversince i moved my single 256mb memory into another slot. i tried moving it back but it still freezes. did i effed up my memory as i was moving it? :-/

if u have some other memory try it. if the comp runs ok, ur memory is probably going bad..
