Hi.
I'm a very content owner of the Hauppauge WinTV Theater PCI card.
Out of unknown reasons, image quality was sometimes better, sometimes worse, but always acceptable.
A week ago I used knoppix (bootable linux - debian I think- on cd) and wanted to watch some TV until my tasks were done.
Now guess what: that all purpose TV-Software (xawtv) delivered a far better and sharper image quality than Happauges recent version of WinTv.
I used 1280x1024 24bit with both OSes.
My question is now:
Is there a 3rd party (free) software, which could be used instead of wintv?
Maybe someone has experience with this.
Thanks.
