Hello crew!

I would like to know, generally speaking, what are the differences
beetween retail Xeons and engineer sample Xeons.

Someone told me engineer samples run hotter.

A while back I saw some ES for sale and the seller said they didn't
support Hyper-Thread.

I'm also getting conflicting answers concerning the multipliers- Are
they locked or not?

Es Samples are completely unlocked. The shouldn't run an hotter than normal retail samples. I think selling ES samples is illegal.

Retail Xeons are unlocked downward. My current 1.6/400 LV Xeons have a default multiplier of 16, and you can set the multiplier at 16, 15, 14, 13, or 12.
