Ack! internet just stoped working pls help!!

hi guys i have a very big problem!my main rig just decided all of a sudden to stop accessing the internet! it doesnt matter what i do it wont go on! now the network card is working because i can access the linksys router..and i know the internet connection is up because i am typing this from my laptop which is plugged into the same router as the main rig! can anyone help me as i am stumped!oh and i am on a cable connection

Is there a chance that you uninstalled the TCP/IP protocol? to check, (in win2k) go to controlpanel -> Network connections and make sure theres a TCP/IP Internet Protocol in the box there. In win9x i think u gotta right click network neighborhood, propeties, and then same as above. That could be the problem.....

thank you Mr00BiLL2 well i am running winXP pro and the interface is about the same as win2k..but i couldnt get anywhere so i just did a reinstall of the OS and magicly it fixed it..oh well hehe
