After tearing apart my case so I could lock the L1 bridges, imagine my surprise when I found out my Tbird 1.2g was unlocked. Boy did this make it easy! Anywho, i decided to up the multiplier (only that so far) and am running my 1.2g @ 1.34. My temps are as follows:
Load Idle
CPU: 42 CPU: 28
MB: 24 MB: 23
CASE: 24 CASE: 23
Ambient room temp 21
Is this any good? Should I purchase a better HSF to use? I am using a no name brand at the moment. The temps were taken with MBM5 except the cpu which was taken by a temp diode installed by a friend in the cpu area (he used the instructions from some place that stated the optimal place to put it). My Vcore is at default 1.2G setting and my FSB is 133. Load temps were tested with Prime95, 3dmark2001, and Quake 3 (1 hour). Oh also I had temporarily disconnected my 92mm fan which i noticed dropped my CPU temp by 2-3 from other tests at 1.2G (tested connected and disconnected). Thanx for any input.

your temps are great, there's no need to worry. go get some more MHz out of that baby! :)

Are you sure your temps are right, they seem even too low for me with a generic HS, or you got lucky and your noname Sink performs very very well.
I hope itīs the last one

As far as I know its a generic HSF. I didnt get into oc'ing until I threw the package away for the HSF that came with the system. It's a silver looking HS all around with a fan that has AOC on it. The rpm according to my bios runs about 7000 rpm. Wish I could post pics of the HSF (I could but they would look crappy on my Webcam). 2 sides of the HS have metal plates and the other 2 sides havve the exposed fins. All the fins at the top are even (not a wave pattern). Oh its square too. Room temp was taken on a gauge known to be very accurate (compared over the years during my truck driving days and I believe it still is). MB temp taken off internal sensor. Case temp taken from installed temp probe. Cpu temp taken from temp diode installed I believe in right under the HS (not sure exactly where but it was made and it goes into the HS at the bottom). I think the HSF might be the very very few that is doing good. If anyone wants, I will take a pic as good as I can and if I figure out how to post it here, I will. Thanx for all the input! I am gonna try for 1.4 next.
Those are good temps maybe not that as good as they could be with those room temps but never the less there is plenty of room for more mhz. Are you using a cooling hack or program couse those cpu idle temps are very low. Actually those mobo temps are great also you're doing very well.
My room temps are 80f strangly at 81f all my temps go up 2c?
cpu idle 36c-38c
cpu internet 38c-40c
cpu full load (50min 3dmark) 42c
Of course this is only a 1.2@1.3 (145x9)

Sounds like my future to be Green Cooler

Well, I do have the Case REALLY close to the window that is always open and where I live its really cool outside. So I'm thinking that the Intake fan is grabbing the cooler air from outside. One of my Radio Shack turbos is blowing right at the HS and it's intake is located where the 92mm pulls in the air. So probably that has something to do with the cooler temps. the only program I run for ANYTHING is MBM5. No cpuidle or nothing.
Just a quick run down:
1 92mm intake (front bottom)
2 Radio Shack turbo fans (1 blowing towards hs, 1 toward pci slots)
1 92mm Exhaust (side at top)
1 60mm Exhaust (rear at middle)
1 Northbridge fan (1" i believe)
1 Southbridge fan (1" i believe)
1 Video Card fan (1" I believe)
1 HSF (not sure brand but fan runs about 7000rpm)
That's it.
And as I mentioned the front of the case is about 6" from an open window which is usually 10F lower than internal room temp.
I'll put a thermo outside some day and measure the differance.

Sorry for the quality of the pics. They were taken with the web camera

Show the exposed fins on 1 of 2 sides.
This pic

shows how the other 2 sides are just a solid wall.

Shows the fan but it is moving so you cant see it. It says AOC Ball Bearing fan and it does spin at 7000 rpm

I was sufring today and came across my Heatsink. It is made by Dynatron. Supports up to AMD 1.7g. While the fan is a different make than what they offer, the fan on mine is actually 2000 rpms faster than what they provide. At least I finally found my heatsink.

Here is the side. Not as good but I am pretty sure you can see the "wall"

Heres the fan. I know it's moving but the only thing it says is:
Heavy Duty Ball Bearing Fan around the outside of the green label and AOC in the middle.

And this pic is the one I found at Dynatron and it looks EXACTLY like my HS but different fans.

Update!!
Now running Vcore 1.81, FSB 140, Mult 10.
So my speed is 1401. Seems really stable and the temp on CPU went up about 2-3C. I think I'm REALLY happy with this.
