Hi All,

I have a Viper TNT2 Ultra on an AX34PROII runnign a celeron2 850@1020, In quake 2 timedemo 1 i can only manage 140ish fps @ 640x480......I have disabled V-Sync and have also enabled AGP4X both on the Mobo and the Vid card.and still get low FPS...any ideas?
Also a friend of mine has a PIII600e@800 and using my vid card was able to get over 200fps at the same settings (previously)...

aaaaand.......When I run CPUZ it is saying that the transfer rate is still at AGP 2X....whats up with that?

My system..

Sounds to me like your CPU is holding you back at 640x480 since it's a low resolution.

A TNT2U is still fine for most games though. Try a newer engine(q3?) and see what kind of frames you get.

Other than that I'd suggest the newest drivers that just came out.

Good luck
