Counter Strike?

When i install counter strike, it wont let me play it beacuse i need to update it Makes sense so far, i also need to update it, the only way to this by installing steam! is there a way i can run counter strike with updating it by steam? :bang head

Like downloading the list of updates and installing it manualy?

You can update CS manually to version 1.5, 1.6 uses Steam. If you are talking about CS:Source then you have to use steam.

i got the problem sorted what i done was install CS via Steam it updated ok now im playing CS again woot
