I have just tried to o/c my comp buy raising the FSB i took it from 100MHz to 110MHz, and this gave me a 1320MHz speed this was on a vcore of 1.75 (I can't change the voltage).
When it posted the windows logo was messed up a bit, and it kept crashing so i took it back to 1.2Ghz this posted and got to windows fine.
My question is why does it not like going to that speed? I can't change the Vcore on my mobo which is a pain in the arse!!
according to the gigabyte website that board uses a KT133 chipset which only supports a 100mhz fsb and usually tops out around 110mhz so to me it sounds more like either the board, the memory or a pci/agp card is holding you back.
What speed memory do you have? also are you using the hostclk+pcclk for memory as this would be running the memory at 146mhz which may be to much with the current memory settings.

very simple solution, carefully connect all the L7 bridges on the
cpu chip just like you do with the L1 to unlock some chips. This
will get it to 1.85 if it's not at that now. If it isn't it won't help.:p
Good Luck

yeh, forget about the fsb, unfortunatly the KT133 was badly named, for a 133MHz bus you need a KT133A, if you can raise the multiplyer

I am using standard pc133 Ram and does CAS2 have much to do with this what does it do and is it important??
the RAM is generic and is rated at 133MHz although don't if that is what is really what is holding me back

start small , increase your fsb by one mhz before going back to default if it doesnt work at 110 try109 or 108 you should be able to get that and some overclocking is better than no overclocking, not saying that if you dont overclock you have to leave PLEASE DONT LEAVE but try some other alternatives .
dont be so quick to rule out memory cuz it is a FACT that memory CAN hold you back I got better test scores with 1 stick of 256 micron than I did with 512 of some other kind and if you get Crucial Micron it is even better but , thats just what I heard
Also check to see if your bios is up to date maybe there are settings you can do in there

I think I can get it to 1296Mhz Stable, and thats it better investigate the RAM

Jeff thinks you need more Vcore, Jeff suspects you may need more cooling too :) Jeff, think the KT266 chipset suck, most people can't get 'em over 112MHz.
Connect the L7 bridges with a conductive silver pen, this will bump the Vcore to 1.85V
What kind of temps are you seeing? What HSF do you have? How much case cooling ya got?
Put a small fan cooled HSF on the northbridge.

Where is the northbridge????
I ain't too good with mobos!!
