I'm looking a program that can automatically shutdown computer when a certain temp has reached. Its for CPU-overheat protection.

I'm running windowxXP and Linux. I want one for each platform.

Please let me know.

Thanks

They had an article about this on the front page. To get there, just click on this link. (http://www.overclockers.com/tips34/) That should be what you are looking for.

I am not sure if you are aware of this, but some motherboard makers include an automatic cpu shut down feature when the cpu has reached a certain temp, in the bios. I know that my bios which came with the Abit board has this, and there is a chance yours might too. Just look through your bios a bit, and you might get luckey!
