Is All My Memory Making My Computer Slow?

Well I have 2-256mb sticks of pc133. So thats 512. Yes, i can add. Anyways I am running win98se so is the ram slowing it down, if so should i take one stick out?

I say take one stick out and see if it helps performance. 98SE starts getting weird with high memory system
