Yes it is but there are better, especially when you consider the volume of a 40cfm fan. Ask your self if you really want to work with a hairdryer going constantly, if the answer was yes then try it!

The sound doesn't bother me because I turn it off at night. What better heatsinks are there. I also have to consider price, because i am on a limited budget.
The sk6 is a very good heatsink, and teamed with a 40cfm ys-tech it would cool very well.

But i am still concearned with the cost. It is about two times the cost of a gladiator. Is it that much better.
I don't have experience with them so I'll go and find some reviews
ok heres a review of the sk6 (http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/heatsinks/thermalright/sk-6/index.htm)
and heres one of the gladiator (http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/heatsinks/ocz/ocz_gladiator/index.htm)

I have one and it worked pretty good. I have a 1.2@1.4 and my idle temp was at 25c and full load was 43c. I have went to water cooling now and my idle temp is 24c and full load is 38c now. For the money I think it is a good heatsink.
