For a 1.4 Gig unoverclocked what would the temps most likey supposed to be and what are the temps that are safe?

I have a vantec FCE 6030D aluminum. It cools the 1.4 at 50 idle and 54 load. Are those ok? Another question. The thermoengine with 7k fan has the same temps as the Vantec 6035D copper cooler? The thermoengine is aluminum and Vantec is copper. Which one is better? Also there is a Vantec CCk 6027. Copper and with a 7kfan cluboverclocker said it was just like the 6035D. Is that true or false?

Does the Iwill kk 266 Plus r have accurate temperature readings?

Thanx

I have the same cpu as you and my cpu runs at 52C idle and 60C full load (with all my case fans off) so i keep them on and it idles at 45C, 52C full load (i do have a junk heatsink) so try to consider upgrading/expending $30-$40 for a good decent that would let you cpu breath some cool air and that way you have the option of OVERCLOCKING IT  if you want

But a GlobalWin or Thermalright SK6 will bring get you much better results than what you get now (from what've heard) ;)

You should try to be under 50c under load, anything over that will be risking a burnt CPU with continued use.

I use Thermalright SK6 with Deltas Fan, 5 case fan and a blowhole on top of the case with a 120mm fan. The T-bird is 1.33 Ghz, it could do 1.56Ghz @ 48C (load) before the blow hole and now it runs stable at 1.62Ghz @ 46 (load). Blow hole rocks!
