Is their any good way to cool my asus v8200 geforce card? The sucker is getting way to hot still at defaults its 55 Celcius. I really do not want to water cool at this time. Does anyone know if there is a good heatsink/fan combos for it???? I don't know to much about water cooling and I don't have time till christmass to mess with it. Thanks Ron

Ozzy,
Probably the finest GPU heatsink is this Low profile Alpha Pal 15U
Sold at Coolerguy.com (http://www.coolerguys.com/cpucool/fcpga.shtml) cost $28 Rackmountpro.com also has it for sale for $29
http://www.coolerguys.com/pictures/pal15.jpg
Another excellent solution is this AOC copper low profile rackmount cooler for $15

To affix all of this use Arctic silver adhesive in this ratio so you can remove it if you ever decide to move these HSF's to your next upgrade,
Be sure to prep the surface with alcohol and apply sufficient pressure to the GPU and HSF
I have found that arctic silver adhesive works best with this ratio
Mix the Arctic silver in this blend
1part A adhesive
1part B adhesive
1part regular arctic silver II
Arctic silver's website recommends a formula of 50% part A and 50% part B if its permenent
and 50%part A and B and 50% Arctic Silver II
I find my ratio of 1part A adhesive
1part B adhesive
1part regular arctic silver II
works best as and is stronger and will hold the weight of the Alpha easily:
There is also another trick
Mix up this formula :
1part A adhesive
1part B adhesive
1part regular arctic silver II
And apply it only to the corners of the gpu approximatly one sqr centimeter on each side in the corners. and use regular Arctic silver on the rest of the GPU.
THis works well and is my current method that I used when I affixed my Alpha15u
You can also use Arctic Alumina adhesive as its non electricly conductive and safer for ramsinks

Check out http://www.millisec.com. I'm using their copper HSF and ramsinks on my GF3. Lets me o/c this baby to 272/600!:D

Almost forgot,
You can buy anodized aluminum ramsinks at Radio Shack for 1.59 each:
http://www.radioshack.com/images/ProductCatalog/ProductImage/276/276-1368.jpg
Radio Shack Ramsinks (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F005%5F007%5F004%5F000&product%5Fid=276%2D1368)
If you dont have Thermal adhesive RS also sells thermal double sided tape to affix the Ramsinks, RS used to carry thermal adhesive but I couldn't find it in thier catalog

You don't want to watercool it, trust me..
I have screwed around with watercooling mine, and it's not worth it.

R_STRIPE,
I just looked at Radioshack.com and I guess they stopped selling it, (I called the local store and they dont know thermal tape from a tomato) do a search at Google many vendors sell it reasonably/

Tomatoman,
That is a Zalman ZM-17 CU (VGA Cooler) and is Dimension: 52 mm Length / 125 mm Width / 41 mm Height and is $19.99 and you'll probably want to spend another $6.99 to buy the Zalman FB-165 Cooling Fan as without it the Blue Orb beats it in performance without a fan.Even Zalman's Bulliten board says get the fan (http://pluto.beseen.com/boardroom/a/57149/View?n=00151a00153)
Any IU cooler will probably outperform the crazy Zalman hsf and most IU coolers are 25-30 mill in height so you dont lose several PCI slots like you would using the Zalman.....
This is the funiest part, This is Zalmans motto, "World's highest performance heatsink manufactured by Zalman"
I say thats complete and utter B*llsh*t as there are many heatsinks that leave the Zalman line of HSF's in the dust, like Alpha and Swiftech to name just two.

Hey if you want a quite Heatsink and you only want a mild overclock get a Zalman.

my zalman smokes any of those he mentipned
the 5000 kicks all the asses in the group and you do not ever have to worry about a broken or chipped core

Microsoft with all due respect Your wrong
http://www.mikhailtech.com/articles/cooling/zalman5000/
http://www.cluboc.net/reviews/heatsinks/zalman/cnps5000/index.htm
Lets not play word games, slap a 80 to 60 fan adapter on a Alpha or a Swifty like you did to your Zalman and the Zalman will be left in the dust.
But I gotta say your logo" This one time in band camp; I stuck a flute in my Seti (http://overclockers.ws/seti/oc_seti.htm) Is pretty damned funny ;)

Although the Zalman 5000 is not included in these tests you can see how poorly the other Zalmans are in comparison:

and i do have to disagree, the zalman is the best and easiest and most stable heatsink you can get for your athlon.
you just have to get a mobo that has 4 holes next to it and even if they had an adapter they couldnt keep up
wasnt this discussion about video card hs/f?
Not cpu cooling?

The Coolest, my 4th reply on this thread will tell you what it is....Microsoft decided to alter the discussion regarding HSF and his misinformation, but there are way better alternatives to that Zalman for your gpu, any IU heatsink will trounce it in performance.
