When my comp starts and the blue bar runs across the screen. after the 2nd or 3rd time it lags for about a half a second. its hard to notice unless you watch closely. is that normal?

windows load lag?

Your computer will not explode, it's just loading a considerable amount of data at that instant.

Zatrix...it's perfectly normal. Mine does that too...especially after installing sp2...it just lags while it's loading your system files.

lol, thats nothing compared to my old t-bird rig, it takes 15-20 passes ( of the loading bars) before it gets onto the login screen, also the bars would freeze for about 3 times when its loading

My system used to take around 13 passes to finish, and I managed to clear it up (to 3 or 5 passes IIRC) by deleting everything from the C:\Windows\Prefetch folder. You might want to see if that helps at allfuriousfords89 said:

before i go to that....are you absolutely sure that by comp wont be FUBAR after i clear up my prefetch folder?
