Got some nasty spyware that did some annoying things that I've fixed, except it set my default search page to seekseek.com or something like that and I can't figure out how to change it back. I restored every setting I could find to windows default and it still gives me this dumb search engine. Just to clarify, if I just type something in to the address bar and hit enter, instead of doing msn search it goes to this other site. Any help?
THanks!

ok, I made a mistake. It actually sends me to seek2.com. I tried the automatic and manual removal and it didn't work. The listed entries weren't there, and neither were the listed program files...

did you try the MS anti spyware beta? I have been using it on our machines at work and so far it has fixed 3 browser hijackings.

The Microsoft Beta spyware remover program did the job. I must have been writing my last post when you posted yours...
Funny thing is neither spybot, adaware, or McAfee virusscan could do the job and that pisses me off. They all turned up nothing and this Beta program from MS pulls up like 50 different things. Well, 12 programs that had installed several files/registry entries each. I paid for McAfee and I'm pissed that it couldn't find this stuff.
