Are RAM drives better for gaming or not? I heard from places that they were. And if they are how would you go about making them??

They are a great deal better for hard-drive seek time. They are also roughly 1 grand a gigabyte, and have no data-storage if you turn your computer off. You can't really make them.
In Linux however, you can use the ram as a "hard drive" of sorts, I believe ramdisk is the command.

You can use special software to make a (big) ram drive, which is only useful if you have 1 gig+ of memory. The hardware ram drives are not great for the price. Transfer rates are usually not that impressive.. however the relatively instantaneous access time helps random file access.
The windows ram drive is pretty useless, as the maximum size is rather small.

Ah, thanks for the info. I was just curious about them and if they could. But I guess not :p . Thanks again.
