OK kids,

I have a ABIT KT7 MB with the latest BIOS, PC133 SDRAM and plan on running win2k. What multipliers, FSB, and Voltage combos should i consider?

BTW, I have the Vantec CCK-6035D for my HSF.

Thanks

I believe your mobo has the KT133 chipset. You might not run at higher FSBs, limited to 110-115 if your lucky, but you can use the multiplier to crank her up. Try not to go for those banzai attemps at really high MHz but slowly work it up.

Oh, cool I am the one to welcome you to your nice and comfortable forum:D

So, you want to overclock that little 1.2 T-Bird..
Ok, lets start from the beginning
First of all, put your system specs in your Sig, please, this will make it much easier for us to help..
Just answer me some questions now,
1.What temps do you get under full load?
2. You have a 133 Fsb or 100 Fsb CPU?
3. Is the multiplier already unlocked?
4. Does your Mobo have the KT 133 or KT 133 A Chipset?
5. Is the PC 133 Ram Brand like Micron, Infineo etc. or generic stuff?
If you could answer those questions, I would be much wiser and could tell you about some settings to try out.

Feel free to ask

Ok I have not installed my new hardware yet, I ordered the cooler, AS2, and some round cables from Frozen CPU. supposed to arrive today. I was plannning on building the system tonight.

I wanted your thoughts on possible Vcore settings, and how best to manipulate the multiplier on this MB. I checked in the BIOS and it listed "12above" as the choice after 12. How do i change this? i.e 13 or higher?

Thanks for the responses...

You set it to user define & you will have a lot more choices than the stock multiplers. Do what -=UR=- Ranger suggested & make sure we can see the exact specs of the system you will be working on not just "cooler" but what model. Who you calling KID?

OK, that looks much better.
I see you got the KT 133 chipset, which doesnīt like FSBīs higher than 110 generally, but you might be lucky, who knows, so If I was you, I would at first try, how high the FSB will take you..
Take the highest possible FBS, and than increase the multiplier until your system getīs unstable, than increase the voltage a little etc. B.t.W you can get your default voltage to 1,85 by connecting all L7 bridges...

Hope that helps

Hey Sonny, you seem to be a Michael Schumacher and Ferrari Fan, right?

Me too,
Ferrari rulez, and will rule on the next years!:D

SCUDERIA FERRARI!!! The performance in Monza sucked:o. I was suppose to get my chip to 1.4GHz+ after the win but seems like I got badluck with the A/C bugging out & Schummy not winning. The new engine sounds a lot tighter at the higher revs. Nice long wheelbase chasis at Monza too.
