Hello i'm not really a newbie to water cooling, i have never owned a water cooling system for my computer but i have read a lot about them and i think its time i buy a water cooling kit.

MY computer is:
AMD Athlon 1.8Ghz Overclock to 2.4Ghz
700+ DDR RAM
Asus mobo
DVD burner
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128meg

I more want one so i can make my system quieter, but having good cooling would be a great bonus.

So does anyone have any suggestions on what I should buy for a starter kit for my system. and if so whats the link, thanks ahead of time!

read this (http://www.enigma-penguin.info/Guide.html) for some WC-101

good stores:

danger den (http://www.dangerden.com/)
d-tek (http://www.dtekcustoms.com/index.asp)

now go out there and find what you want! the best way is to do your own research with your budget in mind, then come back and ask specific questions like, "is this CPU block better than that one?" Question like, "can anyone build a kit for me?" are pretty tough to answer giving that there are so many different circumstances between different setups to warrent the "perfect WC kit."

Thanks for the reply, i didnt mean actually make a kit i ment like a premade kit maybe but from what ive read i should make my own, i just feel more "safe" with a premade kit thats all.

I read the link you sent me, for the current system i have how is this setup?

[1/4 id-3/8 od: System]
•Ehiem 1046 with Innovatek Expansion & Filling Tank (reservior) or fill and bleed tube (and y splitter)
•Koolance CPU-300-H06 block(3/8 od)
•black ice micro (3/8 od) or Blackice extreme (3/8 od) / Heater Core (eg chevy core)
•any 1/4 id-3/8 od tubing you can find
•also get some hose clamps or zip ties (only for the radiator in this case)

I think that Eheim 1046 lacks power a bit, but it's my opinion. 1048 has similiar price with better performance, you can also check these molex-powered pumps secial for water cooling. They have pretty high price, but they're simply good; you can find more about them in some WC topics around.
Low-diameter tubing results in more water flow restriction, so I personally like tubing around 1/2". Tygon tubing seems to be overpriced for me, unless you use some weird water addictives, while in local hardware shop you can find nice Guttasyn tubing for around $0.20 a foot.
Water block - I suggest to chek performance charts made by some authorities. I'm not too convinced about Koolance.
Radiator - if only you can, get a big nice one - it will result in better performance and performance to noise ratio.

i personally like dangerden blocks, but i am not sure how their athlon blocks perform. i agree with venom, definitely go 1/2in ID tubing, tygon is worth the extra cash, too. as for a radiator, i think the black ice series is a bit over priced, i went with a D-tek rad, and it performs great. hope this helps
