Hey guys, i have my new system together and its great but my temps are a little high for my tastes---> idle - 44C load-51
and that is with a room fan blowing into my case. I have a globalwin wbk68 at the moment, but i think i will replace it w/ the thermalright sk-6...any opinions on that? also i am putting two more 80mm fans in front to blow air into the case...in the back there are already two 80mm's blowing air out, plus the power supply fan. I'm not overclocking at the moment, but i do have an ibm 40 gig deskstar at 7200 rpm...will i need a cooler for that?
and my vid card is a leadtek geforce3 it has its own heatsink and fan on the chip, but should i put in a slot cooler for it? i havent had any lockups etc...thanks for the help!
p.s. i also am using artic silver 2

actually your temps are really ok and you shouldn't worry but if you want even lower temps then, yes, the thermalright sk-6 would be a great investment. it's a really cool hsf. i think your globalwin wbk68 comes with a low-rpm fan and not the delta. if you can bear the noise of the delta it wuold be another solution. i bet it would lower your temps by about 5 degrees C. the 2 80mm's in front are really essential because with 2 80's and the psu fan all blowing out you are creating a highly negative pressure in your case which isn't really good. your IBM doesn't need any cooling unless you use it often and it gets hot. if i were u i wouldn't buy a slot cooler, i'd get a blue orb which will cool much better. hope i helped you :)
