KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!!
Does such a thing exist? I want to fill up one of the 66 mhz, 64 bit PCI channels with a USB 2.0 card, since my k7d L doesn't have usb 2.0, I don't want to use one of the PCI slots, since they're a precious 3 as is, and I don't have the USB card that is supposed to come with the setup :p

OR any other suggestions on things I can fill the slots with? I don't like them just sitting there, mocking me :>

Gigabit ethernet, Fiber Channel, high end RAID(SCSI or IDE) and management adapters are available in 64/66 or higher. On those boards, I wouldn't worry about not filling slots.

the one that comes with the board is compatable but might pull the bus down to 33 mhz. did u get the board new? if u did u could ask msi for the card.

this card apears to fit. its notched right but i think a bit pricy perhaps.

if you look at a 64 bit card there is a notch at the frount and back this stops you from puting 33/32 (5v?) cards in a 66/64/(3.3v?) slot and damiging the noncompatable cards. im guessing the voltages but they did lower them as pci grew faster.
look at the slots in the board and at some card s on line and you will c the slot. they dont usualy use the whole length these usb cards because they dont need more than 132x8 == 1056 Mbits a sec unless you have more than 2 fast usb 2 devices.
