• What happened to there only being support for AMD64 or EM64T but not both?

• Given the latest news, does this look about right:

• Smithfield will probably not be called Pentium 5, any news on the new name?

All Im hearing are mentions of Yonah and Presler. Havent heard of Smithfield at all.

From what I understand as for the EMT64 bit they "revised" / copied x32-64. Its basically the same thing now so it will be compatable with both.

EM64T and AMD64 are for all intents and purposes compatible. Software written for one will run on the other. They have to be compatible or else every version of software would have to have two versions; something software developers would not do.

The Smithfield is being released sometime in Q2. They'll be dubbed the 840 (3.2 GHz), 830 (3.0 GHz), and 820 (2.8 GHz).

One correction on your roadmap - the 620-660 will be released in Q2 (late Feb), not Q3. They'll have EIST but not Vanderpool tech.
