RAGE FURRY MAXX wont OC

I tried to overclock my ATI MAXX and when I set the core 5MHz higher and mem 10MHz higher (stock: 125/142MHz) I got only 3-4 FPS improvement in Q3A and artifacts... that sux, any one know why is it so?
In my sig u can see how (relatively) high I took my old RAGE 128 without any artifacts...

Dunno what to do... Any suggestions?

I don't have an answer but I do have a comprable question: Why is it that my Rage Fury Pro (128) has default speeds of 125 core and 72 memory? Most of the posts from others with cards using the same chipset report their base settings as 90 / 90. Why is mine what it is? Anybody know? I can set my memory up to about 80mhz without artifacts. I havent tried to mess with the core rate yet.

I really don't know... Did u try to contact ATI about it?
The MAXX is made out of two Rage Pro chips, so I guess it should have been same speeds?

i believe mine was 109/125...oh well it was a decent card....i was able to get it to 125/145.....
