View Full Version : What CPU FAN would u guys recommend???

Hey...first off want to say this forum is really helpful. I just wanted to know what is a good cooling fan that would keep my cpu temp around 40'C on full load or idle. I just don't want it to climb up like my OEM fan at 59'C. I'm looking for a quiet fan that offer nice cooling numbers. I also want an inexpensive fan too. Nothang over $30..somethang around $20 is my budget. So let me know peeps. I was looking at the FOP32-1 and the WBK38, which I could get for $20 each. I heard Global Win are good. If someone could help me out..thx..and sorry if there a tread simular to this, I tried to look through first and didn't find anythang like this. Anywayz...late -wU

SVC Golden Gate with a delta or ys tech fan from http://www.svcompucycle is the best heatsink in that price range. May not get you the wanted temps if you have an athlon or duron, but will get in the mid 40s. It works on 370 and Socket A. Its my pic.

ThermoEngine here. even with a big big scratch where teh cpu die touches, its still managing 2 C better then my FOP 38 lapped.

The new Glabal Win CAK38 is good is has the delta fan on it though which may be a bit loud for some people. I normally run mine at 7v and it still cools well with the full load temps at 45C check the sig....

thx a lot u guys...the SK6 seem to be the best..and its only about $33..not bad consider the performances it offers. What are ur temps with the SK6 peeps???..I wanna know. I might get this HSF. As for the ThermoEngine, I didn't a lot of reviews for it..or it didn't stand out..what are ur temps for them??? Which version do u have of the ThermoEngine also? What is glaciator??? I haven't heard nothang bout that, any links? Oh yeah..on more question..what is STEPPING??? when it comes to AMD CPU??? I knwo its the wrong place to ask bout CPU..but might as wellz..cause im to lazy to start other tread that im sure its a commonly asked question. SO...peeps..could u help me out? Oh BY THE WAY...I will be getting a 1.4GHz athlon...Thx..late -wU
