I'd go with 3/8" copper/sivler alloy if you have the fundage to invest . . .

where can I get a copper/silver alloy?

and how much are they?

I was planing just to go with copper but if its not too much I will try the copper/silver alloy

I know of only 1 CuSIL coldplate (and I introduced the matl to OCers in that article)
GOD from Aus (who sometimes posts here) had one cast (but I have some reservations)

if you have $600+ you no longer need
do a search here for cusil, GOD, and BillA

I think I will just stick with pure copper........hehe Yeah, sounds like a good Idea to me too. I'd gotten the impression in the past that Cusil was only a little more expensive than silver. I'd still consider a silver coldplate though . . . .

Silver is much more expensive than copper and conducts heat only a little better. Plain ol' copper should serve you well.
