Hi all.
I finally started to get my new system stable:
AMD T-bird 1200/266 @ 1390 (10X139)
MSI K7T 266 Pro-R
256 Mb generic DDR
2 IBM desqstar 40 Gb, in RAID 0 config
NoName GeForce 2 MX-400, 64Mb
2 3Com NICs
Holywood realmagic plus
Running win2k sp2
So I decided I needed a spicier sound card. I got the SB Live! player 5.1, and installed it. So far so good. Install went fine. Now my problem is that I basicly can't play games anymore. I can start games, and play them anywhere from a few secs up to about an hour, but then everything freezes. Music keeps playing, but nothing responds, and all graphics are frozen.
I haven't noticed any problems outside gaming.
What I have tried:
Installing the lates WDM drivers from creative.
Installing the patch that loads the sb ****z as a service.
Running at stock speed (argh!)
I don't think it is temp related, since my temps are about 32 idle/41 full load, wich I belive should be fine.
Anyone have any ideas please!
