help with my Audigy2ZS

O.K. I just got this Audigy 2ZS Gamers Edition and was wondering since I am mostly going to play games and have a 5.1 surround sound system by Altec Lansing, what CMSS option do I choose? CMSS1, CMSS2, CMSSoff, or Stereo Surround?

I just want to know the right option for CMSS, It is a Audigy 2ZS Gamers Edition and I own a 5.1 speaker system. Just double checking. Thanks in advance for the help!

I never mess with my eax stuff, I always leave the cmss 3d unchecked and seem to have surround sound in games. I would like to see what other people do

yeh, same here. I only check that option when i want to play music and what it to come out of all speakers

Unless the music is an AC3, SACD or DVD Audio stream, don't bother with that CMSS junk. Most music was meant to be played in stereo, or perhaps quadraphonic. Stick to that for a more realistic listening experience. :temper:

So turn CMSS off? Dont put it on stereo surround, just keep it off then right? Remember I have my Audigy2ZS hooked up to my 5.1 sound system speaker set....Still keep CMSS off?
