Is there any way to tell if a Tbird 1200 is a 200 mhz or 266 mhz by the codes on top or perhaps by SiSoft Sandra? Also is there a L bridge that sets this? Thanks

Check out the "AMD FAQ" page located on the front page of this site.

Frank, many thanks. The chip was in my KT7A M.B. and it ran at 133 (266) with no problems, but no higher. I upgraded to a 1400-266 and put the 1200 in my 10 year old daughters MB. She has jumpers and it would only post at 100 mhz fsb, nothing at 133 fsb.
I paid $214 on 4/25/01 for a 266 mhz cpu locally. What I got was the "B" marking or the 200 mhz cpu. I buy a lot from this local shop and always deal with the owner. My invoice says "Price includes 1 year warranty. O what fun now! Let the games begin! Thanks again Frank
