Let me explain the situation. I am running a DC-DC PSU in my car computer. The problem is it used to work great, shutdown windows and the PSU went off fine. However recently Windows will shut down, but the PS-ON signal is still getting +5v, and thus remaining on. I have temporarily bypassed the PS-ON's signal, but now startup is a 2 step proceedure, PS-ON powered, and power switch pressed. Anyone else had this problem? BTW, I have tried my other new PSU with it as well, and since I bypassed the motherboard, I know it had to be something on the board, perhaps a relay staying on. Thanks.

well i think its your mobo but it could be something else too..

have you ran check disk and defragmented..
also check your power options again ..

also re-check bios options

my computer used to do that but i cant remember what exactly it was...

Not to downplay the integrity of your suggestions, but I don't think disk defrag'r or chkdsk has any bearing on the opening of the PS-ON circuit. I am very surprised that its even happening, brand new mobo and was working fine until i tried adding my cd-rw in the front of the vehicle. Ill recheck bios options tho, thanks.
