Just for the hell of it I managed to run the TLC benchmark (.417 AR) unit on an old 386 system - 1000+ hours. Imagine trying to use that.

There is no true DOS client. The CLC requires Winx
Yeah.... If SETI had a DOS client out, I'd download it right away, and run it with a clean DOS boot. No windows to hog up memory!
Even my P-90 will do a WU in 80 hours..... That has to be one aincient machine he's running it on! Probably a 386 (anyone try Win98 on a 386 before?) with the way those times look. Possibly a slow 486...

Yeah I'd be all over that :) Actually I tried 95 on a 386 - forget the MHz, but it was over 1500 hours.

and my tbird is done with the tlc wu in under 4.5hrs... it shows you the AMAZING increase in cpu power over the last 6 or 7 years!
