My room mate is looking for some RAM for his 12in PowerBook. It's only got 256 built in, and of course it dogs when he's running Virtual PC and the like . . . He wants 1GB of RAM for it . . . the laptop uses DDR333/PC2700 RAM.
On Newegg, I found some Patriot PC2700 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-220-111&depa=0)
and some Kingmax PC2700 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-155-111&depa=0)
I don't know anything about these brands, except that a lot of people buy Kingmax, and that people are starting to by Patriot with TCCD chips (if my memory is serving me well today, though I might be making some of that up).
Are these good brands? I just want him to be well-served by it. As all RAM seems to come with a lifetime guarantee, I guess it won't matter that much, but I'd like not to be responsible for giving him headaches.
Any input is appreciated, and thanks in advance.
