XP and my Live 5.1

I found my first problem with XP today and wanted to know if I was alone. I was able to find out (in XP) how to place the volume control in the taskbar like on all the other windows os's. However when I go to change the volume it tells me there is no mixer installed and that I needed to install one through control panel. Only thing control panel will tell me is that my card is working fine. Whenever I try and run the mixer that creative installed it tells me that it cant load the plugins and wont start. I know this is a minor thing but hehe Its what I want so thats all there is to it!!

Love XP otherwise, this is the only problem I have found!!

I had the same issue. Some people had success running the *cough* audigy beta drivers with XP, but I won't gurantee anything since they didn't work for me either.

I'm a musician and was using the friendly mixer from Creative's package too until XP, now I've learned how to use the volume control to make all the same adjustments.

I'm about 2 seconds away from saying 'screw Creative' and going with a Turtle Beach card.
