I'm by far no expert. I can only speak my opinion and from my own experiences. This is a list of hardware I'd suggest.

Motherboard - Epox 8k7a or Abit KG7

Ram - 256mb's to 512mb's Crucial PC 2100 DDR or corsair PC 2400 DDR. (PC 2400 will be a bit faster but is more expensive)

HSF - Glaciator, SK6, Theres a lot of good ones out there do your research.

CPU - To my knowledge the color or the core does not matter. Only the code of the core. Try and get a AXIA core. That should be your best bet. Actually you should'nt have any trouble getting one either. Most likely anyone you order will be atleast that I'd be willing to bet.
When I bought my AMD T-Bird 1.2 gig. A lot of websited were selling the AXIA cores for a lot more money then the average 1.2 gig. I'm one to take my chances. So I ordered the average 1.2 gig cpu. Turned out I got an AXIA anyway.
