Hi everyone, i recently haf a problem with my 1.2 T/B, some how it wouldn't let me overclock any more than 1.4 - i haven't try to increase the FSB yet. but when ever i try to switch from 10 to 10.5, it freeze on me even on bios! and the temp is only 38! can anyone give me a hand here?
any help would be appricate

is your cpu locked?

if so then u will need to do the pencil trick on the L1

that's probably it

or if u unlocked with pencil then try to erase and do it the L1s again

um... i thought every T/B above 1.2 is manufactored unlock.
and i did raise the multi from 9 to 10 with no problemz, so i dun think dat would be the problem.

Actually I'm pretty sure the 1.4 200FSBs are locked.

Anyway, you'll probably need to up the vcore/memory a tad to get it to run at those speeds.

I would also try upping the FSB a bit and dropping the multiplier.

mmm..... interesting:rolleyes: but minez 266 though, anyway yer u might be right about the Vcore, but i dun think it really worth the trouble to rise it up coz it makez a huge increase of heat and it only o/c for .5 * 140, yer itz about 75 mhz. dun fink it will make dat much diff, wat u pplz think?

If you're unwilling to raise the vcore it's unlikely you'll get past the 1400 barrier. More speed means more juice for the CPU.

You will get better overall system performance however by raising the FSB to say 145 and using a 9.5 multiplier.

Also I thought you said you hadn't raised the FSB? you're running at 140FSB.

the problem ish i am worry about my other part of my comp to keep up with da speed, coz that very sound good indeed, so i might give it a try:D
oh sorry to making it unclear, i said i havn't rise the FSB after itz going around 1.4^^

you should try to increase the vcore little by little so u wouldn't make too much heat

if u wna o/c over 1.4ghz, thn it is ideal to increase the vcore

mine is on 1.85

yer, datz wat i was think as well, 1.85 should be more than enough for 1.4.
anyway even if i want to increase my Vcore by little, i can't, becasue my mobo won't let me, itz a 0.1 V every increament.

is there anywhere i can get around it?
